DIY LBZ stand alone

Hi just wondering who's modded a stock harness to work as a standalone for a LBZ/Allison/4wd? I'm not interested in sending it somewhere to have it done. I've already started the process myself and have a few questions mostly regarding the data lines and tap shift wiring.

Well I've whittled my way through this harness and I'm down to the last few wires. Anyone ever use an aftermarket cruise switch like this?

Or does anyone have any experience wiring up the cruise on an lbz to an earlier style cruise control switch?

Also curious if anyone has used anything other than a stock shifter handle switch for the tapshift to function. I'd like to retain the operation of the tapshift but, the bulky nature of the stock handle does not fit my build.

No...its not...

There is a resistor ladder inside the shifter used as a voltage divider to return an analog value to the TCM.
