congrats to travis for putting down 739, and backing it up with 741! stock bottom end, stock heads, stock cam, 60 overs, dual cp3's, s474. this was on dunbars dyno.

You should do routine compression testing, and when it falls 10% tear down right away.

I had run 754rwhp with a stock engine, but not for long. First symptom was white smoke on startup, then came a rough idle. Compression test showed all cylinders low, IIRC, the lowest being 250psi. All rods were bent, but otherwise good, so all I had to do was get new rods for it, and could reuse the pistons without even boring.
