Well I'm bringing this back from the dead as I am going to relocate my batteries but was thinking of putting them behind the back seat or in the back where the spare tire goes.

I would consider the frame rail like the LML dual batteries. Does anyone have a GM part number on them?

Are you looking for the battery tray part number for the frame rail? I wound up just making my own bracket and mounting mine behind the bumper.

Mounted on driver rail on the inside to protect it and all stock cables were still utilized.

The part number for the one most are using with twins is GM PART # 15041310. It's on gmpartsdirect.com for $41.

Where Nathan puts them under the pass. seat, on the outside of the frame, is actually pretty good. The bottom is visible but access to the cables is tricky and you have to use just the right wrench. The mount bolts aren't so easy either. It's not easy to mess with.

Thanks! Works out well for me. When I had the stock bumper I could reach jumper cables right in through the front holes, but with the bumpers I made I'm using Warn quick connects (one front and rear) for the jumper cables, an inverter, and one of these days a winch. Here's some pics with the old bumper than one with the new one.

Looks good! So does that Sam Adams... I might have to copy your design and check the access with the gmc bumper.

You're welcome to it! I just made a new positive lead from the power block on the left side of the motor to the new location. And the Sam Adams is mandatory for these projects. :) As long as you stay under that radiator support it shouldn't interfere with the bumper. I'd also suggest something on the inside of the bracket bottom to keep the batteries from rubbing through on the metal.:thumb:
