Anyone ever tow their truck with all four wheels on the ground? Thinking about a tow bar setup to pull my truck behind the kodiak motorhome from time to time. Truck is also being converted to a manuel shift 4wd.
Iirc you push 4h and 4L at the same time and it goes to netural
When I moved from California I flat towed my 75 home. Np203 case biggest problem is not have brakes in the towed vehicle though there are equipment out there that applies the vehicle brakes kinda like a EOH setup
I made my tow bar and brackets cat 2 links with 2.625" tube that's 5/16 wall and a 2 5/16 a frame coupler
Got towed home a couple times in my lbz. Shifted xfer case into neutral and everything was fine. You don't want to tow with the transmission on neutral and without the engine running, that will destroy the transmission.
It might go without saying, but the key has to be on IICR. To get the tcase shifted. Their was a guy on DP the flat towed his dmax all over the country behind a motorhome. IIRC he delivered them then took the Dmax home.
Because your not driving the front oil pump so there is no oil flow. Clutches will burn up in a heart beat. On a 2wd, the driveshaft needs to be pulled to flat tow
