This evening on the way home from another road trip, I hit the 500,000 mile mark. I bought this truck 3 years ago yesterday with 40k on the odometer. Today, it reads 500,030.

Parts changed out due to wear: 1 set of glow plugs, 2 sets front brake pads, 1 water pump, 1 power steering, 1 cylinder head, 1 set of front wheel bearings, 1 front and rear wheel speed sensors, 1 set of front and rear shocks, 1 TCM wiring harness and TCM module, 1 power window switch, 1 WIF housing, 1 turn signal arm, 2 radiators, 1 recovery bottle, 2 fuse blocks (high beam fuse burnt), lot's of tires, lot's of headlight bulbs both low and high beams, 6 DEF sensors, 1 DEF tank, 1 complete exhaust system.

Over 31.5 years? For the last 20, Ive averaged about 50,000/yr or so. The previous 11.5 maybe 25,000/yr? So maybe 1,250,000 miles?

That stupid thing comes on whenever I hit a bump in the road, temperature changes 20 degrees during a run or just because... I just want to pull them out and do away with it, but I don't have a way to turn off the light. Discount Tires bills me for a rebuild every time I get a new set of tires put on - which is every 6 - 7 months.

A lot of guys will put all 4 sensors in a pipe. Cab it off and put a valve stem on it. Then put it to 65psi
