Put a egr delete or blocker and straight pipe on it and see what it does. You can get that stuff for about what a good shop would cost to diagnose it.

Ok just a quick update I took the day off Wednesday and visited a friend who was a Cummins master tech. The first thing he went to was the cat. We checked differential pressure and it was definitely plugged. So we knocked the crap out and shoved a 3.5" pipe back through.
I have racked up another 300 miles since then and it's getting about 16mpg now in the city!

a8nistor & 2004lb7 I used orangevale diesel when I first moved out here and needed work on my old 7.3 p stroke done. I will never go back there. That customer service is almost as bad as wildsports. It's a shame too I would rather support the small town biz
