I'm opening this back up. Would be nice if you could fill us in on what happened in the end.

x2.
Be interesting to see what the third test came back with if you had it checked again.

right, I'm just saying in general I would feel even more nervous purchasing used after hearing this especially if new ones can be skewed

I'd say it just goes to show you, you want to purchase from trustworthy sources, new or used. I've bought two different sets of used Exergy 100's from forum members and I couldn't be happier with them.

100 HP over nozzles would be close the the 37% the shop tested them at...

And lots of honed nozzles are tested at a free flow of air from what I've been told...

I purchased 36lpm DDP nozzles ages ago(2009) for my LLY... Stock nozzles are 16lpm, that is what I would of considered a 125% over nozzle. Four years later I learned that would be comparable to an Exergy 60% complete injector.... Therefore your "100% nozzles may be closer to a 40% injector?.?. Just my best guess...

Also, I now still have a set of 65lpm DDP nozzles on a set of LLY low mile bodies on the shelf that we used to use for the pulling truck. That is a 300% over nozzle, but I was informed it would be comparable to a 150-160% over Exergy injector... Not sure of any truth to that, but when we went to 400% Exergy's I dropped the us of duration from 2450 to 1450...

Nozzle flow is what the oversize works from. Assembled flow is usually 75 percent of the oversize spec. I will consider that when I recommend sizes per application.

My extrude hone nozzles worked out to about 80% of the nozzle spec I was given after assembly testing was done but you are probably right there is a definite drop when nozzles are done and assembled and a final flow test is done.

It would seem Extrude must test theirs after assembly and give assembled specs. Which by rights is the correct way to do it.

At this time everything is being worked out so I am going to close this for now. If either parties involved want to share their stories I'll reopen it
