    How often to change serpentine belt ?

    Getting ready for a long trip with the D-Max and 30' camper. I've got 61 k miles on my 2012 Silverado D-Max and it's bone stock and I've got the dual alternator option. How often should I change the serpentine belt ? How big of a job is it if it breaks on the road ? Thanks.

    OK great. Thank you both. How about oil change intervals... do you folks use the computer's recommendation for oil life remaining ? I'm old school when we used to change oil and filter every 2000 miles. But I understand the newer oils and filters have improved.

    Last September I took my 2012 Silverado Duramax to the dealer where I bought it. It was due for engine oil and filter and fuel filter before we pulled the camper on a trip to the Grand Canyon. Checking the engine oil in KS or CO I notice it's pretty dark already... dark enough you can't see...

    Pulling the camper out of state next month and wondering if I should be replacing the hoses and serpentine belt yet with 38,000 miles on the truck.
