You sir hit the nail on the head. It is a shame. There are murders or shootings almost every day in Jacksonville, a good chunk of which never make it to the news. There's only one difference though, and I'm leaving that to your imagination.

Regardless of the Stand your Ground law in FL, this case has nothing to do with it. That was media hype by the prosecution and political organizations.
In all states, and probably all countries, if someone is attacking you, you can use lethal force if trapped, even if the law says you're supposed to run away. Zimmerman wasn't in a position to run away, so even without Stand your Ground, he killed legally.
The media blast is Racist, but the case isn't. In order to get a Murder conviction, they need to prove either he targeted Martin due to his race, or that it was Martin who was attacked by Zimmerman.
So the Prosecution really needs to prove it was a hate crime or an attack by Zimmerman.
They can't prove racism, or they would have. They can't prove, Zimmerman attacked Martin, or they would have. So they go to the media to create an illusion that this about racism to taint any possible jurors.
Our legal system is supposed to be color-blind, so when the State puts on a media campaign to emphasis race, it has failed miserably.
Even if Zimmerman is found guilty (I believe it was self defense), it won't stop the racism that our country has to deal with. Our own president is going at this like it was a racist hate crime. Blacks are always looking for any chance to pull the race card. If your white or "white Hispanic" and you do anything to a black or gay/lesbian it is a hate crime.
I believe the judge is being pushed by the left to help out in anyway she can to get a conviction. Zimmerman doesn't stand a chance and will not receive a fair trial.

I say let them riot. It will be more of a cleansing than anything else.
