The Still Master
All it's going to take is one state, like Texas to take on the Fed's, if they do and America sees someone standing up to the Fed's and Obama it won't be good for the Fed's.

The biggest question is "what will the US Military do ?" will they take orders from their commander in chief ??? Posse Comitatus

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act

Is in enforceable ?? Will the Military fire on citizens ?? These are questions that are still un-answered, however if it starts it will be a bloody mess for sure.

No state is going to do that, it isn't so bad yet that and large % of the people will die for this.

I agree it just wont happen. Before the Feds step in on any up rising local authorities will try and bring civil order then if they are over ran the National Guard will be deployed then they will have to be over ran thus if none of these forces join the resistance!

IMO it's just a fantasy that the government will be over thrown. We have seen it in other countries yes but they just aren't as military strong and organized as the USA plus the people are just lazy and com placed. All you have to do is look at the "majority" vote in the last election . So dream on mongers there is no where near enough civil unrest. I long for it a radical change but cannot see it happening.

You guys are scary. No matter how anyone here feels this is still the freeest, least oppressive, lowest taxes, least socialist country of any developed country in the world. You could go live in a third world country, but then you have another whole new set of problems. BTW the Obama phone thing was started under a previous administration.

The phone give away is just the IMO and others viewing the whole philosophy over Obama being elected and re elected President and democrats in general being known for 'hand outs'. Regardless we aren't in for four years of fun that I can see.

As far as the petitions of 50 little countries in the USA is just continuing to show how divided this country is and boy is it!

Too bad there is such a divided feeling. interestingly though, if any of the states did secede I am not sure they would be a very nice place to live without federal money for many services that are taken for granted, ie: roads, sewers, drinking water, schools, federal grants for flood improvements, subsidized farming, and the list goes on. secession just sounds like a bad idea.

It would be for some states if they are a huge burden on the federal government. You'll have to be a state with something to negotiate.

CT has Nuclear power so obviously we'll have plenty of POWER & bombs so don't F with us! :roflmao: But we'll need some oil so hello Texas wanna bargain? :D

But seriously it would be a very long drawn out process . IMO it's just "noise" right now. Thats what happens with big government!

Some states more than other's IMO. Your federal taxes would go directly to the state or "new country". People seem to forget that all that money comes from the people paying taxes... not the government.

I agree, but some states just do not have the population, mfg, business types to support themselves. Like Mackin said.

And now yet believe this we have CITIES that are wanting to PETITION out of their STATE BUT YET REMAIN part of the USA!

What kind of mockery is this? I wonder how much it's costing the tax payers to monitor that site? I wonder if anyone in the White House pays attention to it or it's just a place for individuals to shoot their mouths off?

Seems stupid. Perhaps it's time to start a petition to end the petitions? I haven't signed up for I fear that Obama will have my personal info! :D
