Window Tint

My truck currently has 5% on all windows. The front windshield is not done.

I mainly want to tint the front windshield to block the hot sun that we have here in Vegas and the UV rays coming in. I dont want to go too dark obviously, but I want it to be a little difficult to see in thru the front. Keep in mind the rest are 5% already. I am thinking 50% but would 35% be too dark?

What are most off you guys running and experiences with the front tinted with the rest dark already?

I will prolly go with the 50% unless I get a lot of reviews saying the 355 isn't bad at all. I do drive at night regularly, and it doesn't rain much here (rain on tinted windows makes it even harder to see at night)

Also I dont need any info on the law and not worried whats legal or not, thanks.

When I use to get my windshields tinted I went with 50% if my sides and back was done in 5%. I had one done in 20% with 5% all the way around. Looked really good but was a little too dark at night. My mustang I had back in the mid 90's was all done in 5% including the windshield lol but was young and dumb and didn't care lol. Looked bad ass though. If laws don't apply do 20% on the windshield as with your truck being black it would look awsome.

35% isnt bad IF you have HID's still... I have the 2 eyebrows on mine with 20% over the whole front windshield.

well idk about 50 or 35 but i will say dont go much lower my cousin used to have 20% on the front and 5 on the rest and u could barely tell he had his lights on at night lol it was crazy

Talk to Darius (12sechandshaker)...he installs window tint for a side job and knows a lot about it.

I have 5 all around and 55% on the windshield and it's as dark as I'd ever want it at night.

I have 35% on my windshield.

It's not bad at all. I have HIDS though.

My too side fronts are 10% and the back 3 are 2%

I have 35% on my windshield and always have. If it's done right people can't even tell from the inside unless they're told. It makes it much easier to see at night without the bright lights in your face

i believe my windshield is 75%. i dont remember if you commented on it when you rode in the truck or not. and its my experience that tinted windshields help in the rain at night. you dont get the extra glare on the water. plus i have to super dark glare strip too. i think its 5% on top of the windshield

lol didnt even notice Rob. I knew the sides were done though. I think I may just go with the 50%, seems like a good middle ground.

My windshield is 30% and a limo strip 8" eyebrow on top. sucks a$$ at night in pitch black, but during the day it's nice and keeps the truck a lot cooler.

Yours is only 30%??? I remember being able to see into your truck from the front windshield, has it been changed since I last saw it? I figured yours was 50%ish...

Hmmmmm....I know I want it to be tough to be able to see in, but wonder where the middle ground is to be able to see out at night. What % i your side and back windows Brian?

Yea I got it tinted after I came back from Vegas. It was 50%, and I didnt like it so had it redone for $50.

ok, so maybe 50% will be good considering all the rest are 5%. OR should I go 35% lol. damint, this is too tough to figure out. Maybe Ill have a dream about it tonight and it will come to me. I havent spent money on modding my truck in like 1 1/2 years, I need to get back into it lol.

The place I am having it done (thats actually good) goes from 5% to 35% to 50%, then 80%...I think.

mine is measured out to be 1% rears and 4% in the fronts (this is courtesy of the Arizona DPS tint tester they use, i love the immunity i have ) and the front window at 50%. i wouldnt go much darker as it can be a bit hard to see at night when its pitch black out and stock headlights but HIDs take care of that

Went with 35%, perfect with 5% on all the rest. Not too dark, good at night, cool during day and better privacy in the cab. I like it. Changed the look of the truck a bit too.
