Ever since I can remember my truck feels slow and just smokes if I floor it in any gear till I get into o/d. Boost stays in the mid 20s. Infact the only time I really ever see 30+ psi of boost is when its in o/d. But if I down shift manually and floor it, especially if I roll into it, I get good boost low smoke and feels way faster? I have an ally locker so I know its not blowing through an unlocked tc.

And it shouldn't be. Thebac has made almost 11 second passes and I'm fighting to hit 12. That's why I could never run good at the track but street racing wax anything around.

Left the track last 2 runs had 102 mph. This was leaving with like 5 psi slow as hell and running half throttle the first 1/8th mile to keep on top of the charger.

Clay city. The kyhorsepower shoot out is tomorrow and I was hopping to run, but doubt I will now. London would probably closer for you I think.

Leave with more boost. I launch at 12 to 15 psi or 2000 to 2200 RPM usually.

first run I left at 15 and spun so I afterwards it was around 10. Running 285/75/16 on pyos with 35 up front and 30 in the rear. Caltracs adjusted to make contact once boost is built.

When I run my PYOs with 265s at the track, I run about 5 lbs less in front and back. 15 psi launches may be too much depending on your converter, but 5 psi is nowhere near enough. You'll just have to practice to see what your truck likes. I think lowering tire pressure a little will help though. I think you may have something else going on though. I don't have any problems building 30+ psi of boost on my truck with the stock turbo no matter how I launch. I think Simon is right about your tuning. It's being overfueled and is hurting how well the turbo can spool.
