Who rides MX?

My Yamaha YZ-F 450, I use to race but now I am lucky to even get time to ride This bike is 2 years old with 5hrs on it and 2k in extras, its a shame to let it sit but I just can't not have the option to ride, so I keep it. I got my first bike when I was 4 and have had one or several at once ever sense.. Anyone going to Daytona bike week / supercross race???

I play in the woods on a WR450F, ride an XR650L to and from work, and oh yeah....There's my little 400+HP street toy in my avatar. Unfortunately I parted ways with the busa, but the turbo B King project starts next winter, money permitting!!!

Raced District 34 Motocross for years. District 36 Harescrambles and Enduros for a few more years. Broke all sorts of shit on myself and my bike. 00 KTM SX520 and 05 KTM 520 EXC. Started riding when I was 6 racing at 16. Ive got a few Harleys now and log about 15,000 miles a year.

i heard LOTS of bad things about k&n filters for wheelers and bikes. they suck in to much dirt and wreck the top end of the motors!! just make sure you oil it and clean it alot! i have a yamaha rhino 660 with a hmf pipe, rejetted, clutched, cdi box and soon to have a high compression piston and cam! when i go on trips with it i clean it everyday!!!and thats the stock filter

Love the Wr's I had the first 450 around when they came out in 03 and then I bought an 06 that I ended up getting registered and insured in N.Y. which is no easy feat. What a blast that bike was to bomb around on the streets with Motard wheels. Miss those bikes but I am thinking an APRILIA 5.5 will be the replacement bike for the WR's in the near future for me (MAYBE)...

Did anyone else here read about the law banning dirt bikes under 80cc's for kids 12 and under? I just read a thread on another site saying that it will be a punishable offense if your kid under 12 is allowed to ride a ATV or dirt bike.. WTF!! Very pissed if this is true, My son is only 7 months but he will have a dirtbike before he is 4 regardless of the law.. Total B.S.!!!

Ive gotten emails from both of our senators, yunno the hole copy paste deal, but I wrote to them a while back when I first heard of this bill which in already past the first hurdle to makin it. cant believe a scare on lead in toys is damaging a sport totally unrelated to the original problem.

oh, and i ride also. own an 06 crf250x and am lookin into goin to the 450x, learned to ride on a 85 cr500. no broken bones to report of in my years of riding, worst injury was a sprained knee nose diving a tall dune in Pismo last august :rockon:

I just got rid of the YZ250F and picked up a Raptor 700.. couple snapshots..

Got a question didnt seem like any other place to post it. see if anyone has a clue before I take the 4 wheeler to the shop.

O4 arctic cat 400 , started it today and got gas pouring out of the carb overflow when its running. Float? Jet? Any ideas before i take it apart or take it in? Cant ever remember my CR 500 carb ever doing that , same style of carb as the 4wheeler.

Sounds like the float sticking, try tapping on the side with something small and see if it stops. Even if it does you should still disassemble it and clean everything with carb cleaner and blow out with air, I use a small piece of wire usually to clean out the ports aswell.
