Don't mean to high jack this thread, but my set of compounds on my 07 classic would make that all day and run forever without stressing either of the turbos and get great fuel economy. I still don't get your point. As far as performance and street ability there is no comparison at all. Compounds better hands down.

I'm not disputing horsepower output but torque... You are tell me you made under 950ftlbs and over 650hp? You would be the first I have heard of

If you can light a 47 as a single, it will kick the $hit out of a 47 twinned with a smaller turbo any day. With that being said, most all out racers run a lot bigger turbos than that, that are practically impossible to light as a single.

To the OP. I personally would run dual stock pumps any day over a modded single, just for the reliability factor alone. If one of your pumps dies you can still limp back home on your larger tune or tune it down to not push your remaining pump.

As for people saying that dual pumps will lead to engine problems. Only reason they say that is now you have the ability to run larger tunes with bigger pulse widths 2.2+ and not drain your rails.

Also for the ones saying they would rather run a large single over a compounded setup. Wow unless your truck is used for dyno track or sled pulling. A compound will out perform DD task, towing and over all enjoyment with out blacking out and entire HWY trying to keep the charger lit. I know one guy mentioned about his fuel not really coming on till 2600+ RPMs if that's how you need to have your tunes written then I don't see the benefit of your single. Majority of compounds that are sized right have no issues with that and keep it almost on a race tune and not worry about smoke or EGTs
