Ok, I misunderstood what was being said. I thought you were saying a 2wd truck would roll the centerlink up when it launched. Even still, the forces trying to roll the centerlink when turning should be minimized because while one tie rod is trying to roll it up, the other one is trying to roll it down.

What about the fact that that you're using the brakes to try to stop the truck when boosting? Brakes are holding, truck is pushing forward, wheels will try to turn forward (even though it's from the truck pushing not a CV rotating), so wouldn't that try to turn the wheels in and then roll the centerlink?

you would think so but if the forces were so close to evening each other out, people wouldnt be wearing steering parts out in 40k on a 100% stock truck. there are other applications of forces in a turn or at a stop that are overcoming that "push/pull" of the drag link to stay straight.

thats not to say people dont get more mileage out of a 100% stock truck. obviously highway only trucks wont be as near of a factor.

I'm not disagreeing that they wear. I guess my whole thing is I don't think the DHD brace is good for much of anything other than boosted launches. It only supports the centerlink in one direction and only when the wheels are pointed straight. I probably should have just stated that from the beginning.

Well for my truck it mainly lives in 2WD and is a lame DD so ACdelco/Moog stuff should offer a suitable option? I hope :thumb:
