Not even a question!!!!!!!! LBZ hands down. This is like beatin a dead horse. Its proven. Lb7 go thru injectors like i buy guns. Every few years gotta buy new. Who wants to do that. I have owned lb7,lly,lbz,lmm and soon to be lml, but besides the lml which i cant give any imput on cause i havnt owned one yet, lbz is best by far. 6 speed tranny is also a perk. I still own a lb7 which is on its 3rd set of injectors.

LBZ's are by far the best. LMM's are also solid, basically the same thing, but you have some extra emissions to deal with (DPF).

I don't know how anyone could say that the LB7 is the best. Injectors go every 100k miles or less, and the 5 speed trans is garbage if you add any extra power from what I have seen. Don't take offense, I love LB7's and if you wanna do so some work to them they can be awesome. But, for a starting point and considering all generations in stock form, they do not compare to LBZ or LMM. That being said, you will be able to pick up an LB7 at a much better price.

I always recommend LBZ or LMM to people looking to buy a daily driven vehicle, depending on what body style they want. Hands down the best combos. Delete the EGR (and DPF on the LMM) and not worry.

If for racing or pulling, LB7. No question.

I love the LB7s but they are all great engines,im not a fan of the 11s and 12s as efi live is not an option and they are harder to mod or make better IMO
