ok, my 2 cents.
As i hop around the forum sites, and I belong to a few of them just like everyone else, it is the same bs here, there and everywhere. Someone comes on asking a question about why their truck isn't running just right. Someone on the very next post says, you need to search the threads for your answer. Have you really tried to search some old threads for the EXACT answer you're looking for? Have fun. Some of us have learned to save the thread for future reference. NOT that that particular thread is the answer to every time the truck kinda acts that particular way. It's just a reference. Kinda like telling someone to check their return rates. How many times have we seen that in the threads on here? Not that it's not a bad idea to do it, it just may not be the answer. Nothing may be the answer when you don't have the right information to help the person out. This is where I see the flaming begin. Why don't you know?? Are you stupid or something?
When even the best diesel tech on here got started, they didn't know everything. They had to learn. I'm 52 years old and I learn every day.
If someone gets on a thread and starts bashing someone for being a 'newbie', that person needs to be warned. If it continues, you get a 'time out' for a week. If it happens after that, you're done. Everyone is a 'newbie', period. If you have gotten on this forum or any forum and asked even the simplest question, guess what, you're a newbie.
I spend roughly 3500.00 each year for my Tech II subscription. If anyone was in my area ,Orange,Tx., and you needed help with something, not only am I using my fuel to get to you, I would be GLAD to help. That's just me.
Mike L., I'll bet you've had your share of people who tell you in so many words that you don't know what you're doing. You kinda have a successful buisness at something you don't know how to do huh? I read some of the criticism others throw at you and I see it thrown at other sponsors here. PPE and others. Kinda gives you a sour taste in your mouth.
These people are here to help US. Personally, I'm really glad their here. Thank them once in awhile. respect goes a LONG way.
Sorry so long. Had to get it off my chest.
Oh, and I may not have alot of posts here but that doesn't make me stupid either.
Just sayin'
