I wish I had your skills in electronics and programming.

Don't be fooled... I plug it in and mash buttons like most. :roflmao:

I did not crack it. I purchased a pre programmed laptop, my 3rd. But I have a legit Tech 2 From Bosch and I have learned how to utilize the programing software. ;)

When you select Tech2 option it has you use tool to download info to tech2 then connect to the Computer to download the calibration file to the Tech2.

Pass through allows you to flash through the Tech2 directly to the Vehicle.

This Cracked version does not work as good as the last one I had. Last version I think the tech 2 option worked. This one does not communicate with the tool properly and I haven not been able to figure that out yet. Wish I had copied the Hard drive before it failed... it also had the cracked Alldata that worked but it was missing some of the files.

I might spend more money on the Panasonic Laptop that claims windows 7 operating system. I might be able to use a mongoose cable so I don't have to drag the tech2 around.

This is the way that i am trying to do it, request info from vehicle, bring tech 2 to laptop, only has the ecm option

I did not try this method to see what modules are available

I will check the pass through option and see what it will let me do.

as for your comm issue with the tech 2 itself(assuming you're using a usb to serial adapter) what adapter are you using?

I was getting a "E665: The communication could not be established with the diagnostic tool! Please ensure proper connection!"

I was getting this cause i was using a cheap "prolific" adapter, bought a better one suggested to me on the "gmtnation" forum and it worked when using the different adapter

Interesting. I am using the OEM Factory adapter. I get the same error but I think its either a driver or a com issue. Same when I tried to set up the Mongoose cable

What is this other adaptor your using?

Mine was 60$ just had a fresh install of windows xp pro, its worked good so far.

My drivers seat forward and reverse switch became reversed, I read that the fix was to reprogram the drivers seat module, so just trying to do that, I just hate talking to the dealer service dept here

Totally understand. Especially for 10 minutes worth of work.

I purchased another Laptop That had a different version on it. But the software seems corrupt I sent it back for a refund and got a refund through EBAY but then the laptop returned as Undeliverable. I guess they weren't home to sign and never picked it up. I would love to figure out what is corrupt and replace it.

That version had the Parts catalog and labor times on it.

I didn't even know I could buy a laptop already set up for this stuff, would have saved me some time, first copy of tis2000 that came with the tech 2 didn't work, would freeze every time I tried to open SPS. Ordered a new Chinese version with a USB dongle and it works, when I get home tonight, I'll take a look at the pass thru and see if it will let me do more modules
