you dont need something huge. I thought the same thing before i bought ours, i wanted a 32ft because i wanted to fit this and that and the other things, but once we got this and realized all the stuff we could put on it just by packing smart, it's plenty big enough. I can put the tool box up front load the truck forward or backward, with weights, put the compressor in the bed, and any miscellaneous stuff in the cab and i have everything. ive even been thinking of putting a ramp up to the goose platform for the golf cart..

Tim I totally agree with you on the tires , I have a set of g rated goodyear tires on my enclosed 32ft and they are the best . Cost alot more up front but last forever. Some say they are airplane tires lol

Built motor , duel fuelers , 60's overs , gtx4202r

we run 17.5 rims and h-rated double coins now...screw 16" tires...we run these exact tires on our equipment trailers. they are 125 psi tires....

What axle configuration are you planning on? Dual tandem or triple axle?

14,000 lb 20ft+4. single tandems. I would steer clear of the torqueflex axles too. also, the condition of the brakes is big too. we have been playing with how tight we adjust our shoes and it makes a massive difference in bearing heat and life. we lost an adjuster on one drum on our way out to denver, and it did ok going out, but on the way back it started to stick and overheat the hub, we had to stop and cool it every hour basically.

i have a Snake River trailer...20k, 24'. when i was looking it had more available options that other trailers didnt have. its a tandem dual. i would recommend that over a triple axle due to tire scrub on sharp turns.

also, you dont need a cdl unless youre hauling for money. a class A endorsement would be all you need and probably be cheaper.

I like Moritz trailers, another one to check out, mine is a low profile deck over tandem axle dual tires and it sits about 4" lower than old my Delta 20'+4 which I also thought was a well built trailer. I had a 20' low deck mid alantic trailer I think I went through 3 tires in three years, the trailer was well built felt real good just had bad luck with tires. hopefully I have better luck with this deck over.

My trailer is rated for 22.5k I plated it for 14k much cheaper, but with the puller on it, thats about maxed out considering the weight of the trailer

I'm pulling a 2008 Brute 23+5 tandem axle dually.
Dual Dexter 10k oil bath axles, 24,999lb gvwr.
Pierced frame, dual jacks, dual flip ramps, center pop up, all led lights, chain box between the neck, and a diamond plate box under the front passengers corner of the trailer.
Also has a rail on the drivers side under the deck with 6, 4" strap ratchets that can be positioned anywhere along the length of the trailer.

I'm the second owner, original owner did hotshot work with it. Said it has around 100,000mi on it. Paint is all original and doing a pretty good job of holding up for the midwest. Looks great compared to a lot of powder coated trailers.

(Don't mind the sweet ms paint work to cover up a friends company colors on the skid)

What do these trailer numbers mean.... 20+4 or 23+5 ?

Do these gooseneck trailers have the option of where the axles are located for balancing the load ? I mean can you order them with the axles in a certain location on the trailer ?
