How do I save an image from google images to make it my wallpaper? Is it even possible?

Also where do you get your ringers from?
Just hold on the pic and save it and then view pic and select seas wallpaper. For music just play any song on Ur phone and hit menu and select set as ringtone. There's a app called zedge ( too name one of many) that has a bunch of free ones too.

Yall need Google barcode scanner too. It's cool for comparing in store pricing with online, just hold the phone over the barcode like your taking a picture of it and it will figure out what it is and check pricing on the internet!

Do not root until your read and have a really good understanding of the system and what to do if you mess up. There is a lot of stuff that can go wrong during root and the process to get it set up and backed up.

For apps I have and use:
Handcent for text
words with friends (addicting as hell)
nfl app for verizon
bubble (a bubble level)
speedview speedo
easy tether (wired tether for internet)
wireless tether (also for inet but for rooted users)
moto torch flashlight
i beer
guns
ak-47
shotgunn
astro file manager
daily bible
doodler for the kid
drinks recipes
my lookout mobile security (anti virus and lost phone locater)
key ring
picsay photo editor
prank dial
tip calculator
torque
weatherbug
whoopie cushion

Not all were free but I use every one of those at least once a day.

Rooted X running Liberty

I wouldn't let the root process scare you, anymore it's just a one click root (z4root). Rooting the original Droid I had was a pita and required a computer back when I did it.

I just rooted my Samsung Fascinate and it's something I should have done a long time ago. Android Central has a lot of info for rooting all kinds of phones. Just be careful with deleting the crapware. I renamed them all in case I needed them back for some reason. With rooting, there are a few more programs like wifi tethering, screen captures, and overclocking that will make the phone rock.

The one thing to keep in mind, is that Verizon updates(like Froyo) will not update on a rooted phone because the update looks for all the crapware before it begins....

OK Im still lost on the rooting thing as Im not sure what all the crapware is since Im not seeing it. Does the task killer apps work and if so which ones?

i rooted mine today. it took me about 4hrs of reading and searching before i figured out what all it is about, the rooting thing is easy, it is the other stuff that you can do with rooting that gets confusing, rooting basicly unlocks your phone so you have access to everything on the phone like an admin on a pc:thumb:

Crapware is like VZ Navigator, VCast, Kindle, CITY ID, and in my case, Bing...

When you rename or delete the files, it prevents them running in the background and slowing down your phone. Task killers are a little on the quirky side for me because they themselves take up power.

What kind of phone are we talking about here? If it's a Moto X, rooting is a little more difficult because it has a digitally signed bootloader. But it can be done.

I have a Droid X Motorola.

I like some of these desktop screens that have different fonts and widgets. Are any of those free? Id like to root but Im lost and dont want to screw shit up. I still dont know what the button on the right side does except end my calls if I accidentally hit it so Im sure rooting is out of my league on my own unless there is a specific walk through...lol.
