I figured I would bring this back.

Gingerbread was just released for the android powered phones. I tried to update but my phone is rooted with the clockwork mod and it would not accept the update.

I have been running a stock rooted froyo 2.2 rom for a while. After the failed update I figured I would try an aftermarket ROM. Looked around for a few hours and came across Darkslide 4.2, flashed it into the phone and WOW!

I have never had a ROM flash over so easy and still maintain all my contacts, apps and saved files. If you have a rooted Droid X and have not taken the update I suggest you try it out. Comes blurred and partially blurless. I have the blurless edition and the phone has never ran so smooth.
