1000 on fuel.

Looks like GT4718R.

gonna be badass, just be prepared for broken shit every time you get on it!:D
oh and why not just go with the 4718 journal bearing? it might not spool as fast but thats what the little charger is for and you can get it rebuilt instead of buying a really expensive center section for the ball bearing one. just a thought.

All the shops you mentioned are diesel shops that sell turbos made elsewhere for mostly cummins, they come with a T3 & are internally gated. The companies that build the turbos list them with T4s & have an option of T3.

so your telling me i can call up someone ( one of these "companies" that build the turbos) and tell them i want a turbo that sits down in the stock location(like my HTT) and that i want an internal gate(like my HTT) and that i want it on a t4? i sure as hell wish someone would have told me this before i bought my HTT. also what about the stainless housing, which is what most use for the twins since it has the larger internal gate pucks. as far as i know high tech is the only people building that housing and its only a t3.

No wastegated or SS T4 housings & HTT doesn't make the SS housing
Heres the S300 list from Bullseye http://www.bullseyepower.com/S300.asp

The standard S300s are T4 and non-gated. The T3s are designed for the Cummins and are usually gated. I can get you a T3, gated S300 that's not a BD, II, or HTT. With the right pedestal you can sit a T4 down in the valley like your HTT, but like I said it won't be internally gated.

HTT doesn't make their own turbos, and they don't cast the stainless housings. BullsEye Power is who does both for them.

Never said anything about a gated T4, if you want a wastegate on a T4 you need a E.D. spacer or a Turbonetics pedestal to run an external gate.

I don't know about all the S400
hate...

Hate? WTF? I do not hate S400s. I like them alot. Search this very board and you will see me recommending the S400. Ask Bullfrog, Stingpuller, and Trailerpro what turbos I recommended them.

We made 760hp on fuel with Winstons S400 with 72mm comp and 83mm turbine. I made 821hp on fuel with my S400 with a 75mm comp and 83mm turbine. Same dyno and cooler temps (the night before after dark) Ed Wayne made 760hp on fuel with a GT4202. As far as Dave Dunbar could remember my truck was the highest fuel only single turbo he had run on his dyno. With the right PW my single BW charger will clean up all the smoke from 100% over injectors and still run 11.1s
Comparing from truck to truck is not a fair comparision. All those trucks run great but there are to many variables to say the difference is just from the turbos. Eric Mechant Dynoed over 800 on Dunbars dyno with a out of the box plain bearing GT4202 two years ago. I have pushed my old bored wheel version GT4202 past 800 fuel only also. But the difference between a GT42 and GT47 is huge. A GT4718 will support 1100RWHP. No true S400 will do that. I was shoping around ealier in the year lookng at S400 because of price myself. I talked with several about The bigger S400 hybrids fpr me. Jose at Forced Inductions said he could build me one but you want GT47 power just get a GT47. It is the baddest Large fram charger out there. By large frame I mean turbos that can be had with a T4 housing. S500s and GT55s can not be had with a T4 show I classify those as Thumpers. Dont beleive me? Go to goggle and search the baddest T4 turbo. What you will see that keeps being mentioned is The PT88-47. A variation of the GT4718. I bought one. It is at Precision right know for the billet wheel upgrade.:D
I don't hate Garrett, but the price and ability to rebuild and swap parts on the BW stuff makes it my turbo of choice. What does it matter if some of the better "BW" stuff is hybrid or custom?? Even the custom and hybrid BW turbos are cheaper than the standard Garrett chargers.

Really?
Straight off Forced inductions site.

FI-91X X1 1.0, 1.1, 1.4, 1.6 T6 $2499

GT-47 88T .96, 1.08 $1999

So much for cheaper!

Also that S400 can only be had with the T6 housing where the GT47 can be had with a T4

Just my $.02

Are those FI-9* Turbos S4 based ? I see one has a 1.6 A/R  I would like a bit looser exhaust side on my S480 and a bit more compressor out of it , if those are bolt in replacemnet for my S480 i may be calling them ?

So what do you guys think?

Looks like keep the HTT, purchase a GT4718R with a 1.23 AR?

Ideas on best place to purchase from? I appreciate the help, would like to get this rollin ASAP!

why not just drop it off at Russ's, plop some money down and let him do all the figuring? Its much easier than trying to second guess everything... :)

I was just gonna say that PPE probably would be the best place to buy one.

As for the BW vs GT argument, I gotta say the GT's may be a better quality product, but for the price of the BW stuff, you really can't go wrong with them. Especially for us northern folk as there are two BW dealers an hour away from me that have excellent prices.

And I don't care who makes the HTT-it is a very good turbo from what I have seen from Simon/Charlie's use and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one! I think your going to have a killer combination Matt!!
