If you're drag racing i'd go Caltracs, if you are sled pulling looking into Tony B.'s setup

just make your on set man it would save u some money and it's pretty easy to do get some round tubing and 2 top links form your local farmers supply.....if your going to drag race make them short if your going to pull make them longer figure out what length you wont them cut your top link in half and weld them to the tubing and you have a set of fully adjustable trac-bars we use 2inch tubing it can be 2inch from outside to outside or inside to inside then make some brackets :thumb:

Caltracs ride like Sh!t. No way around it once you take out the rubber bushings and put in the alluminum bushings the ride sucks

thats what i was wondering the cognito econo bars seem to look as they will ride better plus offer 2 diffrent lengths. i use the truck for moderate towing and as my daily driver and sometimes i use it for travel. but i plan on doing a lil draggin with it

I don't think traction bars are gonna help with that... You need to load the trailer different

i agree on that one do you use an anti sway bar and torsion bars on the trailer. air preasure on the tires alot of things factor in that too or are u useing a 5th wheel???

You dont have one of those gooseneck to fifth wheel conversion setups right?? My boss had one of those and it was SCARY driving that thing with all the movement. The jerking around I am curious when your getting that as axle wrap versus something else causing movement can change things..

5th wheel 13,500lb toyhauler.... 2,800lb hitch weight. i had some Roadmaster Active suspension springs on it... http://www.activesuspension.com/videos.html ....they work like a reverse trackion bar, but with a spring and they worked real good for the jerking, but only helped with weight a little... so i took them off and put airbags on for the weight... It's a house on wheels...lol it tow's great just when going over bumpy roads it jerks the truck alot now that i only have airbags...... I recon i just need to put an add a leaf on with the Roadmaster.... It should pulled with a 3500 truck instead of my 2500, but it is what it is....

The jerking is the weight of trailer pulling back on the springs...axle wrap. 70psi in all 6 tires and 70 psi on rear truck tires 65/68 on front.

Here it is...... http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26543

Towboat, First off nice trailer..
Second, you have tried a few diff things, from the way I understand it you have airbags in it now and on bumpy roads it gets out of control bouncing.. I might be off but what I am guessing is the trailer is loading the airbags and the shocks can't control the rebound. Might try a diff set of quality shocks that can control the rebound better. (fox or qa1's possibly)

while i do need shocks the bouncing is very little... airbags only vary 10psi..i put just enough air in to add support...i try to keep it around 65psi with trailer hooked up and 10psi empty, but i try to let the springs do some work..i'll try to put less air in next time to put a little more load on the springs.... it is the weight jerking back on the springs...

I wish i could keep the airbags and the roadmaster springs on.

But either way if i keep the airbags i'll have to try some kind of traction bar...either cal tracks or some other kind adjustable that i can unbolt when not hauling and will let the truck squat and rise some..
