After a first few passes with my S475, I realized a 1.10AR housing on a 83mm wheel may be too loose for my current HP. I was racing at 9k DA, so that is most of the problem, but im debating pulling the 1.10 off and swapping back to a .90 for AZ. The track here is no higher than 1200ft.

It took 530 rwhp to push my little truck to 110mph, and just wanted to ask if it would be worth while to leave the 1.10 on and see what it does down here, or go back to a .90.

Has 100% DDP's and stock LBZ cp3. Will be getting duals this winter.

I should add, im running a 1058 converter.

Hmmm....
Well, I would wait till you get the dual fueler set up before you changed the turbo set up, really it depends on how you continue to evolve the truck too, is it gonna be more of a race truck or street driven fun truck? Obviously the smaller .90 A/R ratio will give you better drivability and faster spool, and for 530whp, would be better suited. But if you plan for a 900whp race tune, I would say leave the turbo you have on there and keep tweaking it

You should be able to do that with 750-800whp with ease, the dual fueler would be the next step I would take if I were in your shoes.

I forget, is your truck 4x4? How heavy is it? I thought you gutted it pretty good already, it's got trac bars right, and are you running on slicks or street tires?

I would say wait to see what you run at a lower elevation. Then when you get a good pass go from there.

I think that's what I may end up doing. I'd like to see the difference with zero tuning changes. I just don't have a lot of experience making power with big singles and 100 overs so I figure did ask.

I would keep the 1.10 on. I had 100's and stock cp3 and switched from a .90 to 1.10 and the spool difference wasn't much at all but the 1.10 felt a lot stronger up top. With that setup and the passenger side head gasket blown between each cylinder horribly the truck still ran a 12.5 @ 110.98.

Funk used to have the .90 / 83mm setup and had to gate it. Probably won't have to on a stock CP3, but once you went to dual pumps, probably have to have it

Loosen up the convertor:D

These are exactly what I suggested as well. His truck needs caltrac setup work, better tires, and more fuel and I would bet she RIPS! his converter seems to be the hold back for 5500ft elevation as the logs show he was only 2200rpm as he tried to spool and just couldn't get on top of the charger without really long stage times no matter how we adjusted tuning even though that helped.

At 1600uS, he's got a lot left with dual pumps lol

I would not trust any size of nitto 420 to tow with, they just cant handle the weight safely as E tires.

They don't rub because I did the norcal fender mod to the truck, as well as bumper.

I wonder what results you would see with just switching back to a set of pyo's and some cheater slicks or even just A good tire.
