Maybe I'm ready for another trip to Disneyland..... Mine has the Powershift, not the regular FOM, it's built to shift with authority but that was 15 years ago! Still works great but it leaves a drop of fluid if I park it for a couple of days.I love those Hawks. Used to build transmissions on them back in the '60s.
I have a VW Passat TDI (45 mpg avg), that VW is buying back under the Court Settlement, hopefully by end of the month. Need to find a replacement efficient DD. Budget is $35k. Daily commute is 60 mi round trip.
I want a BMW 335d M3.
E350 is gas, correct?
I love my VW Passat TDI, but can't pass up the VW 'Buyback Program' as I will be walking away with $15k in profit that can be used as a down-payment on another vehicle. 45 mpg has been great.
I've been looking at used Benz E250 Bluetec, BMW 335D, Audi A3 TDI or A6 TDI. Not too many diesel options out there unfortunately.
So as far as performance vs mileage goes I win :happy2:
If only it existed.
I'd buy the gas version of any of those before the diesel, except for he A3. I've looked into the 335d extensively. There's not enough of them in the US for the techs to be trained properly. Any major repair turns into a nightmare most of the time either due to lack of knowledge or waiting for parts from Europe. The NA 3.0 I6 in my 528 gets 21 city/29 hwy.
35 mpg.
Have to get my truck back together, before the weather turns too bad.
right up till you have to turn the a/c on
Freightliner FL70
She's bills $96 an hour so seems fuel efficient to me!
Just turned 250,000 today but I don't think the Cat motor is gonna last much longer she has lower oil pressure than my LMM
