Just like the question says.... What is your fuel efficient DD?

I have a VW Passat TDI (45 mpg avg), that VW is buying back under the Court Settlement, hopefully by end of the month. Need to find a replacement efficient DD. Budget is $35k. Daily commute is 60 mi round trip.

1993 GMC Sonoma w/131K miles on it, V6, 4WD, extended cab. Just bought it recently for $600. Wife ask why, I said to drive back and forth to work and in the snow to keep the miles off the Duramax. Getting around 20MPG now and my commute to work is 7.4 miles.

Ummm, White Lightning and I average 14.5mpg on my daily commute of 22miles. It gets 20mpg on the highway as it sits right now so I'm good with that because it's not very often you see guys with 1300+hp that can still get that good of mileage daily driving or that can actually daily drive it anymore.:thumb:

14 toyota corolla. 36mpg in alot of traffic, 128mi round trip. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone over 5'11, the seat doesnt go back far enough.
41,000 on NYC streets and it still feels tight all around. I really like the CVT for some reason

06 LBZ Dmax. I drive 3 miles to my shop. Lol. Most of my driving and running around is done in the 528. Getting ready to get rid of the Buick and get a newer BMW 335xi for a runaround car.

2000 chevy tracker 2.5 liters of "punch you in the f**king face fury" v6, 4 speed auto, lifted on 33s and just installed an AEM piggy back computer for future boosting plans. in the mean time, i played with fueling and timing to see if i could get this gutless thing some more bottom end and mpg. mpg is up from 15 to 17 under my same driving style and 16 miles back and forth to work. damn thing is so conservative on timing its not even funny.

My daily driver is in my signature, anyone have an LBZ tune (or help my tune) to help with mileage.?

Anyone here own a E250 Bluetec?

I have an E350, love that car. It gets about 33 to 36 highway and about 21 in town, it's turely an amazing car, it handles incredibly well. It is a sport model though, I wouldn't have any other car, it's super safe and way bigger than it looks or feels driving it...

E350 is gas, correct?

I love my VW Passat TDI, but can't pass up the VW 'Buyback Program' as I will be walking away with $15k in profit that can be used as a down-payment on another vehicle. 45 mpg has been great.

I've been looking at used Benz E250 Bluetec, BMW 335D, Audi A3 TDI or A6 TDI. Not too many diesel options out there unfortunately.

08 ECLB 6.0 2500hd weighs 9000lbs. I consider it my fuel-efficient commuter because it has a 34 gallon tank over my 26 gallon tank so it goes further before I have to stop and get fuel....
