camshaft, connecting rods, 20 over pistons, new crank, stage 2 ported heads, head studs, dual cp3, 20 % injectors...probably more but i can think right now.

My block is at the machine shop, where they are boring out for the bigger pistons and setting up the timing for me. Let me know if you have any questions and i will try to help.

Sounds good. What turbo-keeping bd and when are you on the road again?

Do you have dual CP3s, and either way how long did it last you with your current setup?

Buying the Cp3 now, so i havent tried running one on my truck. I drove with a bad injector for a while which leaked diesel into my cylinder and then spun a bearing. So it wasn't so much a power problem.

I will be keeping the BD for now, but i want to go bigger or possibly twins eventually (cant spend all my money at once!)

Guy shipped the parts right away but the stuff i need from Chevy has been a mess trying to get. I am hoping to be back on the road in a month or so. Motors been out of the truck for a month now.

Here are some pics of the crank and the mangled bearing.

mick those are sweet tires and lowering the 4x4 is pure sweetness

Thanks SD. Good to have some support. Hard choice sometimes with just one truck and I like 4x4 and street. I decide to go street because we just ordered new Porsche Twin Turbo for the wife. We can use that to Bushbash. Will be here in app 9 months. By the way heres pic of wheels getting done in States at moment. Should be here in 2 more weeks.

Well I finally got cold feet over proceeding with my 42 project. After seeing a few going the same way, now Freighttrain, the writing is on the wall for stock internals and huge torque it seems. I have sourced an LB7 complete runner cheap (for Oz) $US7,500 so am going to take the longer slower road at this stage and still have a good ride on the road with my McRat tune until I build this new motor. I would appreciate some suggestions on an Ideal Build for a (Reliable) 700+ RWHP Motor from some of you people who have more experience with the Diesels. Lets have a few suggestions on a package, like Rods, Pistons, Crank, Cam, Heads, Block Mods etc. I will be starting with a stock 23,000 mile LB7 Motor complete with computer and wiring harness and in the shed I have Twin CP3's, GT42R Turbo, ARP Headstuds, EFI plus few other bits of minor signifigance. Appreciate any who like to contribute -

Mick and I looking back.

Looks like all we needed was a v4 supercharger and gt45 and some tuning. Hard to believe it's still a stock engine.

You guys are doing great. Keep up the hard work, it IS paying off!

Thanks Jason. I'll tell you what though, it all started here. I wouldn't have been as involved had it not been for Simon, Larry, Steve, Pat, you and countless others. Reading past good and bad issues lead to this venture.

Mick, somewhat of a hijack here but nice choice on Centerline for the rims. I've got a set from them and love the hell out of them. Only bad thing I could ever say about them is the hubcaps actually rust pretty easy. The rims are top notch, but the caps were a different story. Then again I live at like 20ft above sea level, and that's in a 2nd story apartment by the ocean! :D
