I put the derale on the feed side. Hooked into the hoses on the drivers side of engine to cooler than back the filter housing. Never got a chance to see what the drop was in temp but it for sure helped with the issue. I think the fuel gets too hot and can't make the pressure

I run a flexalite cooler with fan on my return and my feed. They sit in the back where the spare tire used to be. In watching fuel temps I have never noticed the coolers make any real difference. That being said I never watched the temps before I put them on.

An ounce of prevention....

Got the same thing as you Adam. hopefully be here tomorrow to install this weekend and have ready for our trip next weekend. Glad brian said something to me about this last night and bumping this today. totally forgot about fuel temps and having been wanting to do this for the last year or so, just never was first priority. Hopefully this knocks down the 200+ degree fuel temps i see before pulling hills loaded in the summer.

And as always, great chat with you Mike :D.

Lol good question, I'll look tonight. Wife didn't say anything about it when she got the package and loves minions so most likely not

Installed the fuel cooler Ive had on the shelf for months on the LBZ. Left the factory cooler in place and installed the new cooler inline with the oem fuel filter and mounted in the cooling stack.

Outside air temps are around 104 when I did the test an hour ago, hooked up to the trailer I use to tow the race truck, had right at 7k lbs on the trailer already, so about 10,000 total.

Freeway 50 mile loop, highest I saw was 152* I used to see 150-155* unloaded.

So far, so good. :thumb:

So if I have a Titan tank on mine, then I know my cooler can't be getting much air. What would be a good replacement with a fan to ensure adequate cooling?

Mike L has an awesome Setrab cooler with fans that he can get one for you, I brought one back from my last trans trip.

You can also use a 6 speed trans cooler as a fuel cooler.

Does anyone have any experience using a cooler on the supply side in below freezing temps? I plow snow in the winter and wonder if there is a possibility of gelling. I suppose cooling the return side would be a better idea in my case.
