Air or electric front locker, which is more reliable and user friendly for a truck that does drag racing, sled pulling, and street use?

What set of gears would benefit me sled pullin but not hurt me in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile and on street use?

I pull in 3rd gear, I run 33x12.50/17 tire, and I'm right around 3900rpm down the track.

Thanks, Dylan

the arb locker its self IMHO is more reliable than the elocker. co2 tank, regulator, and solenoid oir even just a ball valve and you will be good to go. no compressor or tanks or any of the bs wiring.

Pulled with E-locker for 2 years with no problems. 3:73 or 3:42 are probably your best choice if you want to pull and drag race.

Weird question but I've read somewhere you can't have the front diff locked and back up, that just seems inconvenient to me. Is there any validity to that?

You can, but it is VERY hard to steer. I back up to the sled than turn locker on and creep forward to tighten the chain.

I always pull out and get lined up with the sled, throw it in low 4x4 then reverse straight. If you need to turn, it's tough forsure. Well actually it will turn easy, but be hard as hell to get it back straight haha. If I was you I'd just buy a mini spool for the rear and weld the front spiders

So you all think 3.42s and a e locker would help me with wheel speed? Trucks probably around 800hp and I don't think it has it in it to shift to 4th
