What's that calculator say for 3.42's in 3rd at 4800?

I'll bet big money his 2.5 charger isn't still making power at 4800... My 3"x4.4" charger can be pulled down below 3500 rpm without falling off... If I hit 4800 rpm through the middle of the track it will be lucky to pull down to 4000 rpm.

I was curious about it for my own use. Your absolutely right that a 2.5 charger won't make much power at that rpm. The right 2.6 will though....:)

Truck is stock height and sees a lot of street time so I don't think 4.56 would help me out at the drag strip. I don't care if in 3rd or 4th... What would help me the most with a 33" tire? Truck is built and it's a 2.5 precision

We'll thanks for help guys! I think I'll probably invest in some 3.42s and a front locker. And maybe this winter I'll get a 4" lift and a set of 35s for pulling

I have tried and tried to leave the line with my LMM in 4lo/3rd gear but it just governors out at 800 degrees and 6psi of boost. As soon as I let off the brakes it takes off like a rocket. On the other hand if I put it in 4hi and leave in first I can build up to 20 psi of boost and 1000 degrees and it screams when I let off the brakes. Mark has went over my tuning several times and says its all fine, and it is an LMM thing. What I wanna know is what will I break if I try to pull in 4hi/1st gear. I have a locker box, and billett shafts in my tranny. Plus Im in the mid 700's for power.
