Prices are out for the new 2019 MD trucks now... Starting price for the 6500HD 23,000lb gvw RC 2wd is 46k
Currently have a rough draft quote at $64,000
A1750 alsion was spec'd in that quote... A2700 series alison available which should be in quote number two..
Basics is RC 84" CA 2wd 8k/15.5k axles 165"WB WT package, air ride
Dodge doesn't offer a 6500/class 6 chassis
F650 with diesel starts at 65k
F550 starts at 42k
Dodge 5500 starts at 39k all RC 2WD setups

Will I buy one... IDK puts me under IMO opressive busy stiffling regulations that has made my job more dangerous to the people is applies to..
Plus a I have 2 FL60s and a 97 C3500HD that have no liens on them

Been busy hanging new beams for new mechanical rooms, and elevator shaft in an 120 year old 13 story building in downtown.I'm over it. Still waiting on the engineer to finish new drawings for all the extra surprises I've found along the way. Also just found out the elevator can't handle the shaft being out of plumb over 8" in 162 feet. Can't wait to see that fix.

Had some slow time.. been working on my steel GN, I bought in '12, time for new suspension. Setup an alignment rack.. couple 100' laser levels a plumb Bob. Once ready I'll have to open the doors and move the beam under the hitch.. more of proof of concept right now.. been figuring out what was done, what was supposed to have been done and what am I going to do lol.. definitely messured 100 time weld once.. hopefully

Is that the GN that cracked the welds on the running gear?

Yep, those issues cracked the neck joints at same time well, where all resolved at the same time. trailer has close to 400k miles on it
Also put a bridge on it out of 2*2*0.25 tubing

Kauffman trailer has held up Fairly well

Glad the fix worked. For the new running gear, you planning to weld it to the frame like the old, or bolt like the class 8 trailers?

Are you still pulling the AL Crossman? That was a nice trailer.

It's getting welded back on with additional bracing/gussets

We still have both aluminum crossman trailers. always good to have your backup ready to go.. it's annoying when the main equipment goes down and the backup needs fixed too

Installed a microfilm processor I referbished for one of my last microfilm processing labs.

Their old one rotted away from the lack of maintenance and the fact that fixer and developer are harsh to some of the metals inside.

Also had to clean their film drive racks as they were coated with crystallized fixer and developer.

Just finished the installation.

Haven't worked on one of these in a while.

Tough customer actually forces us to operationally test a rotating machine for explosive atmosphere.

Rig all the things!

Surprisingly, after a tough morning of lining up the drive to chamber, it all works, and seals up well. Hopefully no boom tmmr

Got into a big argument with my boss over overtime hours today. They want us under 9.5/hr day, yet continue to dispatch us with more work than that, then put the onus on us when we're over the new made-up "goal".
Im just not going to tolerate being pressured and pushed to work faster and less safely like some rookie. Ain't gonna happen.
