About how many hours it take? I'm sure next one might be quicker.. I ask because I'm thinking of having a friend of mine who has a shop do mine for me

From driving a stock truck in the shop (already had exhaust, but had full egr) to backing out of the shop, with fass and sump install 7-8 actual working hours. It went very smooth.

I can only imagine the paper work for a critical pick like that. Safety was probably freaking out. I can’t see the size of either crane but I’m sure even in a tandem lift ( which I’ve never seen done quite like that) like that they were probably pretty high on their chart. An 18,000 would’ve been sweet and well within its chart as long as configured correctly. Sweet picture man

This panel was incorrectly quoted on weight, reason being a tandem lift.

Cranes are Grove 550 ton (out as a 450) and a Liebherr LR1300 330 ton

The thing that gets me is all that weight is still being concentrated thru that one point between the span connected to the cranes and the smaller span above the panel. That is crazy. How can that be safe?

Those shackles between the spreaders are rated for 350 tons each. Use two spreader bars, the upside down one can change heights in relation to how much cable up or down each crane gives the bar, and the lower bar will stay horizontal as the pick points on the panel dictate that. This was the first time I've seen that bar done, but makes sense so that both cranes share the load

It’s safer than you think. It’s all about your training and certification. But even with those you still get very anxious and nervous your first few critical picks.

Even with the way That’s rigged with upper spreader bar being free to move up and down from end to end ideally it stays flat the entire lift.

Wish I could figure out how to post pictures off my phone. I have some pretty cool ones

Emergency 2” gas valve replacement for sdge.

Steel valve was leaking in between the two pink pipe ends that I had to cut out after making bypass with new PE valve.

Went and bush hogged at the farm yesterday, lost money on this job again. Hole about the size of a quarter this time. These tires are pretty tired, they been on since 1993.
