Brought our 5 year old son with me and let him strike his first arc with the squirt gun. He was jacked up! I remember when my dad let me strike my first arc with the Lincoln buzz box, I was 10. He still uses that buzz box today.

Yeah I would love some help down here too. As soon as I get cabinets built for our office the next project is 1800 ft.² of tile. Not too worried about putting the tile down other than doing the stairs but I really don’t want to take the old tile up.

Came home from a 3-day trip to a hydraulic wheel-drive motor waiting on me that wasn't drivin'. Found this, and replaced it.

That's a lot of boom lol! How big was the building?
I Worked on a 400,000 sqft warehouse where they used a helicopter to set the HVAC units... I was quite impressed

Not sure, walls were about 70 feet tall. we just needed the reach without bringing in the 450 or 550 in full luffer. costs would have been a lot more.

You need to teach him to weld like a man and bust out stick. ;)

Tied in some PE gas mains at sycuan casino. All those crazy bypass lines just to allow flow of gas while we squeeze and tie over to new pipe. 14 hours worth of work.

The casino makes too much money to shut down their gas and do it the easy way. When it was dinner time and their buffet was busy we could hear the gas screaming through our bypasses.

That is a lot of butt and socket fusion going on there.:thumb:

Did your bypass pipes start getting cold when they were running? I have a friend who took me into DWP Scatter Good power generating plant and they have to insulate the large gas lines, due to condensation, because of how much gas flows through them. The whistling also is so loud your required to wear hearing protection.

No they werent getting cold. This wasnt very high pressure just some distribution work. When we do the transmission stuff with 400-1200psi is when you can feel temp change. We insulate all the steel piping down here.
