Anyone have experience with costom machined lowers?

I have a local company where I live that will sell you a block of alunimum and they show you how to set up the CNC walk you through the process guaranteeing you can't mess up and you make it yourself (with no serial # obviously) they want about $100.

I've machined a few 80% lowers on my mill in my garage. Never done a blank block of aluminum tho.

With the jig, an 80% lower is pretty easy to do.

I could either buy an 80% lower or go all out and start from scratch at there place, kinda want to see how its built and be able to say I did it. They use 7075 forged blocks

Yea you can get 80% lowers in either forged or billet. 80% lowers don't have serial numbers either. To see it as a block then to a finished product would be cool tho.
