Went to the track last night and I gotta say I'm disappointed. With way more prep than last time I didn't do any better. Based on my times i feel like im just out of fuel. I ran a best of 12.7@104 my first ever pass with 45psi in the tires and a full tank. This time I improved my 60ft by a second and got down to a 1.7 but did less mph and quarter time. With my mods is anything past a 12.7 possible. I was consistent all night. Average times were

1.7-1.8 60ft
8.1-8.2 1/8th@ 82-83
12.8-12.9@ 103

I left at roughly 10 psi with tire pressure at 34psi anything over 10psi boost the front-end would hop. on my last run I finally remembered to use my lockup box but that was my worst 1/4 and trap speed but best 60/ft to date, and I blew a heater hose at the 1000' and slicked the track

Either that all it has in it or its losing fuel at half track the second half it just doesn't feel like ot has anything left.

A log will go a long way. I log my truck every single time it goes down the track.

Same here. Its the only way to see what's happening.

If you were full weight then that might be all you can run. Heavy wheels/tires hurt, too.

What was the d/a at the track?

6750lbs d/a was 3000ish

Wheels and tires aren't heavy but they arent light either. 1.7 60ft time so I'm not blaming the tires

But what got me was I couldn't beat my first time which I literally drove there and made my first ever 1/4 pass . Way more prep this time and got a better 60ft but everything else was worse. Incredibly consistent but worse.

Thats how it goes. Last time at the track for me I made one pass, a 12.20@111, over half of a second slower than my quickest. Also the pass that feels slow is usually your quickest. No real explanation for these things.

Like already said logs go a long way. But I would look into why the heater hose blew as well

Yeah I hear haha. Heater hose broke at the plastic nipple, either it was already fragile and broke out or coincidence or anpther reason, the uppipe is crack right where the hose blew could coolant have poured out there and cracked the uppipe? Doubt it but all this happened in one night.

May have made it cool to quickly causing it to crack, I've done it once on a header on my old 86. I'm sure it might have been started but I had it real hot and hit a huge water puddle and cracked it.

My hose did the same thing yesterday on my 02... Broke of even with the end of hoes n when I was fixing it I noticed my Trans dipstick tube had broke off just above the brace that holds it behind downpipe.. Must have just vibraded enough to weaken the metal to break it smooth off so assume the vibrations did same to heater hose nipple.. Oh well can't complain I got over 320k miles out of stock parts. Lol

As long as you don't run out of cp3 on the big end. My LMM was laying down hard after 660ft. Logs showed good rail till top of 3rd bottom of 4th.
