Tommy your injectors arent firing. Does it show a constant 9,000psi when cranking? Or just for a split second? You should also be showing ~180psi rail pressure with the engine off. Make sure the batteries are charged, that cranking rpm seems a little bit low too.
how can you tell there not fireing and wht would cause tht

I would start by going back to a single cp3 just for first start up and take one thing out of the way.Other then that timing, did you put the pre load back on the cam gear before installing?

I'm not sure if Tommy had the dual cp3s hooked up when the old motor was in since he asked for the install info a few days ago. That would just take one factor out of the way once its running then hook it back up it it doesnt start again after that he will know it was something miss wires or just guffy acting, The smallest things can screw with you on these truck.

On the cam the older motors had a single one piece gear on the cam,on the newer motor we have a 2 piece gear that has a tension spring thta has to be preloaded, If this was not done timing could be off some.

It's also said that if the injectors are not installed into the same holes that they came out of the truck will not start also, If the injectors are replaced with ones that are oversized I know it will start no matter what hole you reinstall it in, I hear its only with the stock injectors with the programing from GM.

Interestin thanks Henry.

IIRC Tommy was one of the first LMM's to get dual CP3's. Many moons ago!!

Yes I think so then the lift pump blew his motor lol :joker:
After having everything out and with all that is under the hood of are trucks its easy to mess some wiring up.

I figured that it would just show pw from the tune rather than actiual from the injectors.

well the injectors "actually" have to 'have' pulsewidth to start the engine though. See what Im saying? If the injectors were firing "zero" pulsewidth the engine cant possibly start.

Yea i did have the dual ppe in there before but ppe did the install. I was really suprised tht tht nipple on the rail is left open like tht. I know there is a possability tht 2 injectors are not in there stock locations. If this is the case wht could be done to rectify the situtaion ? could i recopy the gpcm info again ? or does this require a tech 2 if they got swiched? could this really keeep the truck from starting ? thanks for alll the help and ideas every one  I thought the hard part was going to be bulding and instaling not turning the key lol

Hmm I wonder if that second cp3 is not properly grounded or something in the regulator? I had the same issues and my pressure was way high too! it was to much fuel to start

Apperently when you put a regulator in the cp3 its suppose to have the guts inside:eek:

Also make sure you have good power to the batteries like ben said

You will need the Tech 2 Greg has one doesnt he and he can reset the GPCM. When there stock injectors there flowed to match the hole each came from when you add lets say 30% over they all flow the same and there is no issuse to say.

I taped power for my dual cp3's from the little red power box and then also grounded it from that spot were you hook to jump start.
