13 valve seals looked like this. Heads are coming back off, stripped down and im having them all resealed. again.
Machine shop I used to clean, pressure test, mag, shave and do a valve job on did the heads. The shop im using to assemble the shortblock found this on Friday when the heads went on.
Was told the rips in the seals was from lack of lubrication upon assembly.

And the original shop that did the heads is takin care of the short block shoos bill to do it over? Cant believe they didnt notice the seals before.
steve, its a 7800lbs lifted CC/LB on 37s. i shouldnt be winning to begin with!!! :roflmao:
You would think they would have noticed that when putting keepers on the spring retainer. Sucks!
Thank god they caught it now before it was in the truck.Pretty sad when you have what you consider to be a professional shop do some kind of motor work and you wind up with something a 5th grader put together.I'm afraid I would have took it to be done correctly and not looked at that myself.

According to the dyno I only have 500hp so I dunno where that other 200 is comin from. And ***** Andrew bitched out and went 35s

Both of you ever roll across the same scale? I'm betting James is more then 1000 heavier.
Nope, mine was a CAT scale down off the I8 with a trailer on the back so its not exact numbers but its damn close. just my spare and tools in my tool box weight 265 lbs
