To let you guys know what I plan on doing with the work truck single cab :secret:

I've always wanted a single cab short bed 4wd Duramax. Found my RC here in AZ and jumped on the deal. Needs a bit of work, but not as much as I thought. I realized after having 2 crew cabs that a stripped crew cab short bed truck is not worth the hassle, and a regular cab would better suit my needs, so, out with the old, and in with the older :rofl:

The build is pretty straight forward... 75mm single, 1058 converter, Caltracs and a airdog 2.

I also plan on lowering it(duh) 3/5 and putting my 22's from the GMC on it.

Guess I'll keep this updated as much as I can, will also be a place for the short bed conversion that I have planned before the end of the year :thumb:

I plan on having the truck done the weekend before the AZ races, but who knows if I will actually be done or not. Still have a lot to do, and waiting on parts (turbo) is killing me :roflmao:

2nd day I had it, 3" shackles and overloads removed, turned the torsion bars all the way down. Stock as a rock.

Over the weekend, pulled the stock turbo off, and prepped the truck for the new turbo. Also removed the fender flares and slapped on a 22 to see how it looked before it gets lowered more... I actually kinda like it... :thumb: Removed the AC system, and put on a AC delete pulley that I bought off Rock Auto for $37 shipped. Also put on 1/2 ton style mirrors, got those for under 50 bucks shipped from rock auto.

Also, this is a long bed DJM hanger... looks like it will work with Cal-tracs as well, so I am pondering the idea of running both, and I cant find anyone who has done this, so I may be onto somthing.

With mine being a 2wd short box is just fun.

Your crazy! Everyone is trying to get me to short bed mine but I don't want it to become uncontrollable at high speed drifting, not that I ever do that or anything illegal like that cough cough.

Brian, it will work nice, I did mine like that and made 3/8" steel wedge and welded it to the axle housing spring perch to tip the diff back.

What are using to shim your axle?

I have 6* shims that I took off my LBZ before I sold it, so those will probably go in the truck until I decide if I want to do a DJM hanger with 2 leafs per side.

im looking for stock rims hit message me what you want for em

All I have that im going to sell is the stock RPO rims with the 245 BFG's on them. Shipping them out of state would be a waste of money, IMHO too much of a hassle.

Interesting! From what ive seen, a 3/8 wedge is around a 8* shim, so I would be that much behind

Roll pan would help too

I forgot that too, I plan on having one, just not sure what I want to do yet.

Does the female types go in the back?

Don't got time for that right now, Id rather spend money on my truck
