Allison 5sp: well....F#$%ed up, broken torque converter bolt

So you broke it with an impact? I use a 1/2" impact to tighten them up.. Of course it has a 36" extension and a wobble on it..

yes, i broke it with the impact
i meant i didnt think it would torque right with a torque wrench anyways with extensions on it

i removed the starter, my impact will fit where the starter is, with a wobble and a short 15mm, no extensions

Alright, got the trans down, converter out and used a left handed drill bit on the broken bolt,

about 3/16ish in it grabbed the bolt and backed it right out, cleaned the bolt hole out, ran a tap down it to make sure the threads were good, they didnt look damaged, blew it out with compressed air.

The converter bolts i have have the dry blue loctite on them, is that enough or do i need to put some of the liquid kind as well?
