Ideas to help the front end from unloading? Suggestions for Qa1 single adjustable settings? Rear leaf caltrac adjustments?

I've played with my caltracs just a little bit and they make alot more of a difference then people think. I always thought oh its in 4x4 it's gonna go no matter what. Moving a hole on mine dropped my 60 like almost 2 tenths.

I agree with Harbin, adjust your shocks to their tightest setting to where it will tie down your front end . If you have adjustable rear shocks I would do the same there, that way any weight transfer that goes to the rear can go to putting pressure down on the rear tires instead of getting eaten up in suspension travel .

Harbin what qa1s are you running on your lmm and what lowering mods do you have? I want to make some suspension changes this winter and get my 60's down some more.

Place your rear shocks more vertical and both on the same side of the axle. It was a game changer for launching on my truck.

Anyone ever played around with limit straps or even hydraulic bumpstops mounted upside down to keep the front end forced down

Chains worked for me. Alot cheaper than shocks. But a good setup is always better than a getto setup. Also, clamping the rear leaf "seemed" to help with squat.

I'm not looking for ideas to improve I have my setup dialed in well. I'm talking specifically about the two things I mentioned. Has anyone tried either one and what were the results.

Had local guy try some limiting straps about 2 years ago, still running oem shocks, the truck would pop up so fast hit the straps very hard, and when that happened it would actually try and yank the front tires for a split second when it hit the end of the straps so his front tires would spin causing to load and bind the drivetrain to the rear tires and it would hop violently out of the hole. He finally threw the straps away and went with rancho 9000s and spring clamps after he tore the rear driveline up.

Damn thats rough. The issue there is slack in the strap, I'm thinking more like a sled puller here. Like they use rear stops im thinking put the straps on at the track and make it so they have zero slack

Yes he had to much slack for sure. That could possibly work the way your saying though. Be interesting to see the results on that.
