Went on a 5-6 mile hike with the wife and dogs today. Was nice to just get out of the gym and relax. Although still managed to slip and tweak my quad :rofl:

Illegals are bringing in all sorts of stuff we're not immune to, (flu) was worst ever last year. Tons of deaths in every state, look at the data, media is just not talking about it. There is now a Polio like virus floating around our country...:screwy:

Immigration requires immunization/inoculations...

Not that I disagree with the topic, but, last year flu was bad cause CDC goofed horribly on what flu vaccine to use. Not even close to the right strain was choosen.

This year is a **** it cover everything approach.

Started training on my oly lifts tonight for the first time ever. I mean I’ve done them in the workouts but not actually trained them. Tonight was squat snatches.

Worked through a bunch of stuff using 165 as my max since I didn’t know. Ended up being a work up to a 1 rep max night anyway. So I did and hit 200. It felt great and went up super smooth. Could not hit 205 for the life of me.

Tried sumo deads for the first time last night and was pretty pleased. I feel way stronger with a sumo setup than conventional. Pulled a PR deadlift of 440#, and like I said, first sumo session ever.

Patience getting it off the floor was tough to get used to, and even with double over hand hook grip I was still having trouble clearing my thighs to lock out. Felt very solid and once off the floor it moved well until lockout.

Will still do conventional every other session, but definitely going to work sumo in more.

Baby powder on the thighs helps with getting stuck, just dont get it on your hands or the bar.

I like sumo as well but learned I need to go slow with weight jumps or my hip flexors get wicked pissed.

I threw all my protien podwer in the trash, stopped eating red meat, jacked my carb intake waaaaay up and changed my workout plan. Finally starting to feel good and gain a few pounds. I went back to a 3 day iso program of chest/tri;back/bicep;legs/shoulders with an hour time limit. Keeping the weight down and the reps high should be the best thing for my body type.

I had to start PT for my neck, I was diagnosed with early disc degenerative disease.:(

Learning that I can build muscles to support neck before it gets bad, I already started them. Wierd neck exercises that actually make you sore! Going to make them a daily regiment. I don't ever want to have to take any pain meds, soooo my neck is gonna be ripped...
