This is a side-by-side of Wagler as-forged rods next to the SoCal budget rods. The SoCal rods are $1 more than Wagler as-forged but are fully machined and iirc weigh within 2 grams of each other.

I saw something farther up about not being fully machined and the weights being off quite a bit between rods, so I was just showing another comparable rod if someone didn't want to use the Wagler as-forged for some reason but they still want a budget rod, they could get these from another trusted company that are fully machined with very similar weights between the rods for about the same price

Bump thinking of throwing these in my 2.6 smooth bore truck. I can get them from Meyer Distributing very reasonable

Why would anyone waste their money on a budget rod. If $800 is too much to spend on a better rod you should not be building your motor.
