I feel lucky, I bought mine in may of 07 with 20k on the clock for 31k. Sticker was 48k. I just refinanced this year and my credit union said the loan value was 29k. With 117k on it. There is a place in mid Illinois called midwestdieseltrucks that has good deals sometimes. But alot of there stuff is high mileage.
I bet if most of you guys look, if you bought your trucks 2 or more years ago, they are worth the same now as when you bought it. As long as you havent put a pile of miles on!
The used market is driven by supply and demand. Obviously there is a huge demand and the supply is pretty sparse right now. So combine that with the new truck prices going up every years, and you have inflated used truck values.

I bought my 07 with 7,500 miles on it in september of 07 for 30k. I have 80k on it now. There is a nice 05 single cab for sale near me for 14k and a crew cab flatbed with tons if miles pretty cheap ...ill see if i can post a link for you.

The guy said it was high because "the new trucks use urethra that costs 60 dollars a gallon" :rofl:
I let him know it can be had for 2.70 a gallon at the pump and he never called me back with a price.

For LBZ's prices here seem to be from 19k-30k depending on miles , options , ect .

I have seen it here too a 2007.5 LMM goes for 35k-40k usually with 70-90k miles
I didn't pay anywhere near that for my LB7 when it was only 2 years old.
I have also looked at used 1/2 ton sierra Denalis 30k for the same mileage
The only deals if you want to call them deals are on stripped down trucks or reg cab trucks.
I certainly wont downgrade and pay more for a newer vehicle.
I will probably have to wait till they replace the Gmt900 trucks to get a good deal on one

I just bought my 05 here in Mo. 129K on it and only paid $16k. It was about $10k cheaper than similar trucks in the area.
I listed my LB7 with lots of upgrades, MikeL trans, 4088r and other stuff for 16.5k and nobody bit at all. sold it for 15k. where were all these guys that wanted a good truck cheap then

It's not just trucks, try on a new or late model used tractor. Bought an 05 John Deere 8420 with 200 rental hours on it for $124,000.00. A used John Deere 8270R that's a year old with some hours on it is pushing $200,000.00.
If you look for a used 05 8420 equipped like mine today they are $140,000.00 with 3000 hours on them.
