If it was a narrow journal crank I'd jump on it. But ya I'm with Kyle on this one, if guys were breaking billet stock replacements I don't see why these would be better. Think I'll stick with a stocker.

Narrow journals have been out for near 5 years. Nobody has been talking about them. If they had I may have spent less money by using one.

What did you use in yours? I didn't realize there was a better option than the billet narrow journal crank.

I have only broken lb7 cranks so far. I've done a couple lml cranks in builds recently. My race truck will have a Bryant crank. Where Callie's narrow rods .050 Bryant narrows rods .100. They also use more counterweights than Callie's.

You can see the differences in each crank.

Actually ya my builder had mentioned the difference in those two particular cranks. Just didn't realize there was that much of a price difference between them. It sure would be nice to have a forged version of the Bryant narrow journal crank though for those of us who don't want to drop 5k plus on one.

I'd like to see a Bryant crank next to the high end Callie's crank. M

I may have misunderstood, but isn't the webs on the Bryant crank .150 thicker than stock? Whereas the Callie's is only .05 thicker?

This crank internally balanced weighs around 9 lbs or so more than the Callie's internally balanced. With the Callie's you are limited for internally balancing to around 3500 gram bob weight. That means on a deck plate motor it would be near impossible to internal balance it. You don't have that same limit on the Bryant crank. Don't misunderstand me now. Both cranks are good parts and have their place. Callie's is kit a bad crank at all. I just went a different direction from the information that I came up with. If jeremy had gotten back with me I probably would have purchased from him. You can never get a chance to speak to him anymore. His delays on getting me answers is what sent me in the other direction. I'm glad that I actually got specifics on both and not from salesman either.
