Hello, I have a 2011 LML. 120+k miles. Live in Ohio. Cold winters. prior to me owning truck it has had DPF delete and exhaust, EFI live tune(autocal) and I'm pretty sure a EGR delete and not just a blocker plate. I believe this is it....http://www.xtremediesel.com/xdp-lml-egr-Race-Track-Kit-xd167.aspx
The plate with the bracket mount coming off at a 90degree angle is cracked and I'm 99% positive the crack on the pipe is in the center of the baffle part just below the EGR.
I'm assuming the heat and vibration or something has caused that bracket mount to snap.
I Have the typical compressed air blowing noise coming from the passenger side under the dash. No whistle in turbo, slight loss of power.
My question is. A new Up pipe is obvious. How do I know if it's a stock up pipe. What kind of new pipe should I get? With the EGR plate being cracked what should I do in regards to that. Am I looking at a new EGR kit and up pipe. What are the chances of this occurring again and anything else to prevent it?
I plan on fixing this myself. I'm no mechanic but I've always fixed my own vehicles and this is my first diesel. Any tips and warning are appreciated.
