For 1, it is the dumbeat thing ive ever seen. Has nothing to do with trucks power or pulling. Whoever is taller or hooking point is taller and lifts the rear tires off the other truck its game over. Probably the only thing the idiot in the Chevy could have done was to release the brakes, chain slacks, nail brakes sharply and quickly, repeat and repeat. The slack is the critical factor, the more slack, the better.

Eventually something would snap. Probably the U-joints or driveshaft on the Dodge would be the weak link, if not his input shaft. The only load on the Chevy would be the brakes.

A really good shot might even blow the airbags on the Dodge.

Not sure if it was a chain or a strap but I bet a 3/8" chain would snap before anything. Chains aren't meant for that.

I've seen plenty of idiots explode u joints and entire driveshafts before as well.
