Well finally did a little work on this thing again. I needed to get a heater for the garage cause it wasnt't fun trying to work while you're dressed like the kid from A Christmas Story.

Had to reinforce my beadroller cause it was flexing bad (harbor freight), but I managed to put a bead in all my ic pipes. Tonight, providing it doesn't snow, i'll prob dry fit all the pipes one more time before I tap the pan.

I think the oil drain is fine even if it is below the oil level. You guys got to remember that the feed line is pushing the oil through the turbo at 20-65 psi. The drain line is larger and will fill up completely but it still flows through the turbo because of the pressure. I personallly would still prefer the line to be above pan level so there is no "back pressure" in my lines.

If my charger was that high I'd have done it in the vc, but with it being low I needed to go in the pan.

Anyone have a diagram on the routing of the stock coolant hoses. With going to a water cooled turbo on top I need to make sure I hook to the correct in and out hoses. I have it hooked up now but I'm second guessing myself.

Finally got back on this thing. Going to pull the oil pan tomorrow to put the oil drain in. Figured it would be easier to just pull it off rather than doing it on the truck. Plus that crossmember that goes under it was trashed from dragging it on the ground lol. Hell it was so bad the bottom bolts were ground off. I'm gonna build a stronger one but go around the pan rather than under it.

Routed my new water lines and built the down pipe.

You making your down pipe hook up to the exhaust like the factory down pipe with the stock v-band clamp?

Got the pan fitting in and ready to go. Also fitted up a new inner wheel tub. Gonna build the surge tank into the top of the tub and have a remote fill for coolant.

Started on my surge tank. Gonna have a fill cap recessed into the top then inlet and outlets into the back. Also made some clearance so I could run a decent size air filter.

Did your inner fender start life as a trailer fender? It's looking good.
