Then why do you have them in your avatar, and a smiley by them in your sig. Not trying to be a dick, but if I didn't like the twins I'd sell them and try to get some money back.

because im not a nerd and dont stay on here 24/7 so i dont update my sig every two minutes. i put the smiley on there because i thought for sure i would love them and have not yet changed it.

yeah you got it, ive tried probably 8 diffrent tunes. its fast( 12.45 @110.47) but not that impressive. look everyone has their own opinions, i just thought i would tell kenny what i thought because he wanted some input. yes i realize hes got a lbz i was just stating how i feel.

I personally would try more tuning bro. I recieved some tunes, that I was told were awesome. Did not work well in my truck and I tuned them to be way more efficient and perform 100% better. I say just try to change it first. Little easier to do to start.:)

You probably have a boost leak, if the tune is not f'n with your EGT's! My EGT's never see more then 1250-1300.

but you also have a lbz. thats exaclty what i said, on the vvt trucks i say go for it. on the lb7's unless you run the big kit like trents i say no way your wasting your money. the ihi charger just really sucks. nick @duramax tuner writes my tunes and has worked on it them several times and i still have high egts.

What is your drive pressure? I had a bitch of a time tuning my lb7 when I first got it. It is not the best setup for twins for sure. The stock turbo on the lb7 is by far the weakest turbo in any of the sets IMO. I did finally get mine tuned pretty well, always had a rail pressure problem and when I finally figured that out I bent the rods. Ran well, 12.09, 111+, but could never quite catch Rob. The setup that Trent now has is the way to go for a LB7. If I was you and you are not happy I'd sell the set and either upgrade or try a cheetah if you think you would be happier. Used twin sets sell fast and for a good price. My first set went to Mika in Findland then to Alaska. Still running strong, are a bitch to tune however.

I agree, bet you have a boost leak. I pulled a 10k trailer up a 6.5 degree slope at WOT from a standing start in 85+ degrees with thr TTS extreme tune and it never got that high. I at first had a boost leak, was a faulty stock innercooler from the factory. They forgot to finish welding part of the side. Leaked like a sieve and egt's were way up there. Still made about 45psi of boost. You have a problem for sure, they shouldn't be doing that.

where on the intercooler was this leak? which side?

i have looked @ bigstrokens tune a few weeks back to try and help him fugure this out . the tune is fine its the same tune that thebac is running i believe , only has 3100 usec . i dont pretend to know if there are any other issue's but i dont think tuning is one of them . and travis ( bullfrogjohnson ) has been helping him as well with this .

Damn that IHI, i had planned to use it for now coupled to my S472 but now this makes me less enthusiastic about it:mad: I guess ill keep the IHI in the plan unless i find a replacment for it beforehand. I'll be keepin my eyes peeled for another i guess:eek:
Would be nice to rid the IHI anyhow, somthin bigger/better, new, and should i locate one, this twin set will be gettin alot more radical:D :secret:

I had wondered about twins with the IHI, ie: restrictions? If its this much hassle, might just deal it out of the equation while im ahead:eek:

i would ask around to guys running it first , i cant say because i have not run that setup before , but something doesnt seem right about his egt's ... They are as high or higher than mine were on just my s300 with more fuel/ pulse width than he is running , something does not add up here ?

Well, i mighta jumped the gun somewhat, dmaxvaz has/had the same exact turbo setup i have and he said it runs great! He did open his S400 up later. I can see the stocker beein a restriction/hinderance but should suffice, but ill still look for a replacment anyway.

have you checked the shaft play on either turbo ? a guy i race with just got through having simalar problems with his truck .... high egt's and high DP with his twins ...... chased boost leaks... none..... after a long while of hunting he found out that there was a problem with the big turbo, bearings went bad prematurly had tons of end play wich made the turbo drag creating a restriction on the hot side and high egt's/DP . switched turbo and all is good now .
