The biggest set back I see for twins is pulling rules. If it wasn't for that I would run twins in a heartbeat. Around here you either exibition pull or run in the all out mod class if you have twins. The fun competition and money is in the 2.8 and 3.0 single turbo classes which is why I'm getting a 3.0 charger that I can bush to 2.8.

I don't know anything about pulling, but I have heard they discriminate badly against twins in pulling. Guess whoever originally set up the rules didn't like them or no one was running them at the time. Maybe time to update the rules. Twins are made for pulling. I'll tell you if they had a time factor involved in pulling where you had to get going quick after staging, they'd change that rule in a heartbeat. Some of those trucks take forever on the line to light their charger. The Twins on the race truck light in a heart beat, and they are way bigger than anything we are talking about here.;)

I know there is more of you guys running twins...:)

better question ... what are you wanting or expecting out of them ? you will never find a person not happy with there twins ... at least i havent , power levels are to dependant on suporting mods to be a good question to ask . my kit can range from 300 hp up to 900 hp depending on mods and desired tuning .

as i am shure you know the twins by them selves dont make much more power on a stock truck ... just allow you to add a whole lot more fuel , the fuel is what will make the power just need to have the air availible .

Alright Trent, you are probably right on that one. I just wanted to hear some good input about everyone's opinion on their setup and your probably right about them being happy with their setup they run too. I am more curious to know if the setup I end up with will give me future growth of the power plant too without having to, again, change it to a different kit. I think that would get expensive fast. I have a couple ideas of the turbo's that I would like to try and run for my setup but not 100% sure on them. There are key things I would like to have or maintain about the trucks performance too. I would like the overall functionality of the truck to support the many different uses of it, being the most of towing (most intended use when bought), but also bragging rights to others when they step up and I spank them big time not just a little. I love the bottom end torque and power (snap of the throttle feel), but I also want it to pull hard throughout the rpm range all the way to the top. I'm an avid motorcross rider and this is the power "feel" that I'm accustomed to. If you have a suggested set up that you think is up my alley, please give me your insight or opinion. It would be grateful of you to share it with me. Thanks again.:)

I think a better question to be asked here, is which kit you guys run on your truck, and what turbo combo's it consists of (size of both turbo's). Thanks again all.:)

im not happy with mine, but i have a lb7 with the stock ihi charger. it sucks. my egts are no better then when i had stock charger and water/meth. as for you guys with the lbz's i think the twins are the way to go. you have better top chargers. the whistle is insane, mine is a gt45 big charger and its crazy loud. but other then sound its not all its cracked up to be. its a lot of money to spend and then question whether or not you like it. at least in my shoes it is. as far as the design, nathan really knows what hes doing, and hes great to talk to on the phone. craftsmenship is awesome. it sucks that it seems im the only sour apple in the bunch that doesnt like the twins but if i had it to do over again i would save a lot of money, run nitrous on the strip and outrun the twins times, and then spend that money on my dirtbike or something that is more fun. i saw you ride motorcross, so i do i, and im going to tell you twins are not going to be half the fun. just my 2 cents.

Then why do you have them in your avatar, and a smiley by them in your sig. Not trying to be a dick, but if I didn't like the twins I'd sell them and try to get some money back.

Beat me to it! Could be a tuning/er problem in the works as well. I don't see that in the sig.

I cannot vouch for the drivability of twins but when the stock VVT is twinned with the bigger unknown turbo:mad: which i was never impressed about I don;t like the way they sound. Watching Robs runs on the DPC 09 the sound does nothing for me I personally like the way Jeff's RC sounds but like I said I have never driven a truck with twins

To me its not about sound. I could care less what kind of noise it makes(as long as its not a bad noise). I care more about #s, that is where the proof is in the pudding.

Like Trent once told me, he would rather have a truck that is quick, rather than sound quick. hehehe;)

are you sure you dont have boost leaks? With a single CP3 you shouldnt be any higher than 1350-1400 or so with a huge tune running the 1/4 mile.
