There are MUCH cheaper options out there for billet compressor wheels than batmo stuff.

I'm will be trying a billet 6 blade 75mm drop in wheel in a s475 on a 12.7 detroit on my brother's W900 by this weekend, I will share my thoughts and experience afterwards... I plan to try one in a twinned LLY configuration.

I read you still have stock injectors if so i would have the injectors over sized and retuned and go from there

Now your talking my language!!! I've been thinking about doing that for better than a year now. Please let me know how it works. I've got a 12.7 in my pete and trying to buy a pete rock truck with a 12.7 as we speak.

Yes I know that, but I saw a thread on DF where DT did testing on a dodge with a s468 and they lost low and mid range power and only gained a couple hp up top. Not to mention the slower spool.

I know I could do that, but as I said I'm trying to pull everything I can out of my setup before adding injectors. A couple things concern me about injectors, one is the fact that I will have the ability to create more hp and I will want to maximize that ability which would be the end of my stock motor. Secondly injector longevity. I'm a firm believe that factory stuff just last longer and works than something that been tampered with by the aftermarket. Third is economy. I saw a thread a while back where some guys were talking about how to tune larger injectors for economy and were having no such luck. I really enjoy my 18-19mpg (hand calculated) averages, and if I feel like a grandpa I can pull 20 or better.

Part of it has to do with motor build config as well, not just injectors. i get 18mpg highway unloaded at 70mph. intown im averaging 14-15 now that timing is dailed in. towing is about 13ish at 70mph. had i not dropped compression in the motor, id probably be right around the 19-20mpg i was at prior to the motor build. personally, all i noticed most from the bigger injectors was throttle response, not so much quicker spool. i can kill the fire quick with these 45 overs if i run no limiters in the tune. Steve and i noticed that pretty quick on the dyno lol.

Bought a billet wheel for my s475 off a member on here. He said that it came from Trent and that it help in his single set up. My Dilemma is today I bought a peterbilt dump truck with a Detroit which has a s475 turbo. The truck is a little under powered for my liking and I believe it would be a good test subject. So do I put it on my pick up or big rig??? If it works I may get one for both.

Any one have some torque specs for the compressor wheel? Are the threads left or right hand?

Threads are lefthand, shaft is 10mm and Borg Warner has different specs for different material compressor wheels. BW's spec is 10Nm+60*, I've also been told 55Nm/40 ft-lbs was a good spec also. I have digital torque wrenches now and I think last s400 I put the billet 6 blade in at 10Nm+60* ended up at 53 or 58 Nm with the digital memory...
